Accept God's Help

Pastor Amaya Stewart

Psalm 54:4: "Behold, God is mine helper: The Lord is with them that uphold my soul."

Hebrews 13: 5-6: "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake the. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."

God is my helper. God is always there to pick us up, encourage us, correct us, guide us, etc. He has always been our helper. Whatever you may be facing, God is right there to help you. He won't lead us
astray.

As people, we like when we have someone helping us for the things we think we need, but we don’t always accept God’s help when we need it.

God has been trying to help us from the very beginning. With Adam and Eve, he gave them a perfect life, the way he saw fit, but they disobeyed his one rule. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but not everyone is thankful or even chooses to serve him because of what he did for us.

God has been our help and he is always trying to help us. When we are struggling, battling, tempted, etc., he always has a way out for us, but we have to accept God’s helping hand. We can’t do it on our own. We
can't make it on our own. We need God!

Get rid of pride. Pride will tell you, “Oh I got this.” But in all honesty, we don’t. We need to get out of the way and see we have a God to lean on, to ask for help, etc. These are a few lyrics Apostle Tee, my auntie sings, “God has always stood by my side; God has always been my guide.”

Let him be your guide. Welcome him to be by your side.
