Does God Have Your Heart

Where is your heart? Does God have your heart?
Some of you may be wondering what I mean by asking where your heart is? I'm not talking about
physically, but spiritually.
My Pastor and Pop-Pop told us a couple of services ago to give God our hearts.
Ezekiel 36:26-27: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and
cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
We should want our hearts to be filled with God. If your heart has God in it everything else will line up with it. Think about it, the heart pumps blood throughout our body. So, in spiritual terms, it does the same thing when we give our hearts to God and when he is dwelling in our hearts.
Now, for God to dwell in our hearts, we've got to pump sin out of it. Confess to God whatever may be in your heart or whatever residue could be left from past things. Sometimes things in your heart may not be from you necessarily, but other situations or people.
For example, if you were never stingy in your life, but then you started to become close friends with someone who is stingy, you can take on being stingy too.
Then, that could get rooted in your heart and now you have to pull that root out of the ground.
It is a lot to think about, but if you are sincere: God will help you. He wants to help his children!
Give God your heart!
