Generation Lit Part 2

We are the next generation! God has called us to rise up, be light in darkness, and go spread his word, and do whatever work he has for us to do!
BUT... we have to make up our own minds, and choose God over everything else!
Think about this, what out there in the world is sincerely fun?
When you think about everything you could possibly do, when it comes to participating in the ways the world does things, there are always consequences to it.
For example, if you want to drink to have fun. That "fun" comes with knowing it is going to impair your judgment. Bad or unclear judgment leads to horrible things. Not to mention, alcohol destroys our bodies.
The devil wants us to think this is what fun is -- fitting in with those who are pulling themselves down and intoxicating themselves.
But what's really fun, without any negative consequence, is serving Jesus! Jesus showed us by how he lived how to enjoy God's provision and his people. (He never had to look back over his shoulder.)
God sent his son to die for us, God loves us, he cares about us, he provides for us, and so much more! And that is real joy and worth celebrating! God is trying to wake us up to see that this world is full of glitter and gold, but the real treasure is up above!
We can’t let the devil trick us so that we don’t become who God wants us to become. We all have a decision to make. If you set your eyes on things of this world then you’ll live like this world, and this world is going down!
But if you set your eyes on things above, you’ll want to live a life serving and pleasing God.
The devil is here to scheme and con you, and we have to tell the devil no. Chief Apostle said God wants our time. He wants to enjoy time with us and fellowship with us. Give God your time. We have the chance to be in the presence of the King.
Tell the devil he has to flee!
We need to rise up against the traps of the world! Fight for Jesus! God has something special for you! It's worth fighting for!
We have to show God that he means more to us than anything else the world has to offer.
