Get Convicted

Pastor Amaya Stewart

July 2024

“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When I read these verses and the chapter, I was astounded. Paul corrected the Corinthians and they responded to the correction with true godly sorrow. The felt guilty for the sins they committed, and took action to change, because they had a repented heart.

When we realize we've sinned against God, we feel sincerely guilty for the sins we have committed against him, and we realize on the inside, "God I need to be saved and I need your forgiveness," because we feel the ultimate conviction, and we have godly sorrow which leads to repentance, and that is what leads to true acceptance of and faithfulness to salvation.

This message is short, but the point is: let God deal in our hearts.

Come to a sincere conviction and give God your life!
