Get out of the way!

This is urgent! Get out of God’s way! We are doing nothing but hurting ourselves when we are in God’s
way.

Isaiah 48:17: Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go."

God leads us in the way we should go, we can’t lead him. We are being our own stumbling blocks by getting in God’s way. When something is not working out see if you’re in God’s way. If your child is sick or
struggling, see if you are in God’s way.

Sometimes our actions can affect our children and vice versa. When we are blocking God, we are stopping our own blessings. If you run track and you have to do hurdles, you are going to jump over them and not run into them. When we are blocking God, it's like we are running straight into a hurdle every time. When you hit the hurdle, that’s slowing you down and you could possibly lose the race. I don’t want to lose the race.

John 10:27: My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

We are supposed to follow Jesus --- the sheep can’t lead their shepherd. Once you get out of God’s way, you'll see the blessings behind it. God wants us to grow and flourish in him, not stunt our own growth.
