God's Perfect Timing

Pastor Amaya Stewart

Most of the time when a story starts with “In the Beginning,” it has an ending, but one story that doesn’t have an ending is God and his Word.

John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God”. We don’t think about what the actual timing was, when the world was made, because our brains cannot understand God’s timing.

God’s timing is different from ours, and the difference is, it’s perfect. We run on different clocks then God, but we can be in sync with God. The way we get in sync and stay in sync with God is spending time with him.

There are plenty of ways you can spend time with God through prayer, going to church, praising, worshipping, reading the Word, putting everything down and talking to him, keeping him on your mind, being holy, spending time with others in God, etc. The list goes on and on, and sometimes we don’t realize we could be spending time with God when we are going to go visit family, for example. We could be a witness to that family member, or if they are saved as well, y’all could talk about Jesus, and many things about being saved.

Sometimes we don’t think about the many ways we can try to spend time with God. Even when you're driving in your car you could be spending time with God. You could be praying or even singing and praising him wherever you're headed. Through this blog, it is opening my eyes to the many things we may take for granted and where we are spending our time doing other things where we could be spending time with God. God knows you have to work but take the opportunity to spend some time with him. Think about this, God’s timing is perfect, so what if that car ride is the perfect time, he is asking you to spend with him?
