God is Our Provider

Matthew 6:31-33: "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

God is trying to show and tell us that he is our provider. We spend too much time worrying about things, and God is trying to get us out of that mindset. We don’t have to worry. We choose to worry. But, if we are not seeking the kingdom first then yes, we should probably worry.

God has everything we need, and he gives us things we want, but we choose to worry instead of having faith. Now, if you got a bill you need to pay and you know you have to pay the bill, pay it --- unless God tells you to do something else with it. God is not saying be careless. He is not saying just let your lights go out or just let your child run wild. God will provide for parents if their child is choosing to rebel. If we seek his kingdom, God will hear our prayers and bring that child back to you and to Him, because we are first God’s children.

God doesn’t just provide money. He provides love, peace, forgiveness, mercy, etc. God sees it all and we don’t have to worry. Seek God daily, stay in his face, he is wanting to provide for you, but we have to get out of the way. Sometimes God will draw away from us if we are going our own way, but he doesn’t want to. He promised to never leave or forsake us, but it's our decisions that cause the separation - God can not dwell or go with us into unholy places.

In church service, God said through our pastor: every one that walks through our church doors and that is IN the church will be blessed.

That’s a blessing! God is trying to provide for us, but we have to get out of the way and have faith. We think too little when it comes to God.
