Guard Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life.”
The NIV version says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Guard your heart. Whatever we take in, our heart is going to let out. I know I talked about this on my other blog, but I feel like God is still talking about it. If God is in our hearts, he will flow out of us.
If we let in ungodly and unholy things, that what will flow out of us. Our hearts will show our true intentions. For example, we can try to fool people into thinking we love God by participating in church, but if you don’t truly love God in your heart, it will eventually show. We think we can outsmart God, but God can see our true and real intentions. Get rid of the sin.
Like my pastor said, “Break up with Sin”. A way you can guard your heart is by choosing to serve God. Read your word, pray, have a relationship with God, these things can help you guard your heart.
