It's Time to Come Clean

First, I would like to say Happy New Year!

But as we come into the New Year, we must clean up and get rid of all the junk that is in us and in our lives.

1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” God’s Spirit can’t dwell in us if our body (God’s temple) is not clean.

God wants us to get rid of everything that is stopping us from serving him in every area of our lives. As children, we can be the change in our homes. My siblings and I started having church at my mother's house, it doesn’t matter how young you are, you can help rescue your home.

Throughout the years, we have let so much corruption get into us, we've got to get rid of it. Lately, God has been trying to heal us and clean us. We can go to God with whatever mess we have, and he can direct us with what to do with it, or how to handle it. God wants to help us, but are we so unclean we can’t see his help?

We try to replace everything with other things except God. For example, someone in your life could have died and instead of going to God with how you feel, you replace your pain with drinking. We need to turn over our hurt, pain, trouble, problems, whatever it may be to God. Those things can be changed and replaced when we put God in it.

God is a healer, and he wants to heal us, but we've got to want the healing. We must clean up.
