It's Time to Get Serious

2 Timothy 4:5: But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Endure, work, and ministry are three key words I want to talk about today.
1. Endure: Suffer patiently. When you are saved and walking with God, there are a lot of things you have to endure. Some people will turn their back on you, sometimes you face correction, sometimes when you're trying to help a person they seem to not listen, sometimes you may even lose people, etc. God wants us to endure it all. We may go through, but in our go through we have to make sure to be patient. God has been patient with us for so long, and he is looking for us to be patient to others and even ourselves. Sometimes we may want to quit on ourselves, but that's what satan wants us to do. You may be battling with something, but endure throughout the battle, and know God is with you, and you have to fight whatever you may be facing, and don’t quit. Tell satan NO!
2. Work: Actively involving mental and physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result. This walk is not a lazy walk! We are God messengers, and we are at work to save other souls. When we are called to teach or do anything for God, we are working for God to let ourselves be available for him to speak through us to help the Body. God is always at work, and we need to always be at work. Satan is always lurking, ready to trick us into defeat, but every day we have to choose to work for God (by being saved, serving him, being a witness, preaching, teaching, serving, praying, being obedient, etc.)
3. Ministry: The faithful service of God’s people rendered unto God and others on his behalf to bring him glory. Be fully rendered to God. Glorify his name faithfully. God uses our ministries to glorify his name, to spread his word, to help others, etc. A ministry also can be full of many people, but what is your role in the ministry? Are you faithful to your ministry? Your main role should be to glorify God’s name. We were created to do just that, but of course there are many roles in a ministry, but make sure you are faithful to God, and your role/assignment in the ministry. Be a part of and participate in God’s ministry.
I know this youth blog may be longer than usual, but I felt God pointed out these words.
Salvation is a serious thing, and the things of God are very important and serious!
We have to remind ourselves to keep going and living for Jesus every day! He is worth it!
