Keep Running

1 Corinthians 9:24-27: 24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Galatians 5:7
7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?

When God sent Jesus, he spoke in parables, and he also used real life things and situations to tell a story so the people can understand. His apostles, like Paul, continued to do the same and the examples above show how we can let the word show us how to live.

Keep running the race. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from running to or for God. When I say keep running the race it’s not a literal track your running on, but spiritual. Keep serving God, keep being saved, keep being obedient to God, etc. It may get hard, but the ending reward will be worth it. The ending is not money, it’s not an award, it is eternity with our Savior, Jesus Christ!

No matter how many times you fail, backslide, etc. -- don’t stop running the race. Even if you missed it, you're still running the race, but once you quit, you're taking yourself out of the race. God never quit on us, and we shouldn’t quit on him. It doesn’t matter what may be going on in your life, just keep running, and God will make it all right!
