New Every Morning

Isaiah 30:18: “Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you; therefore He will rise up to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.”

Lamentations 3:22-23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

God awaits to be gracious to us, and His mercies renew everyday. I was praying to God about how He shows us so much mercy and grace, and these scriptures answer why. God gives us multiple chances throughout the day.

Here's an example of His mercy: What if we only had 50 chances for the day, but we ran out and God let us have 100. And the next day, even though we went over our chances the day before, we get 100 more chances.

God doesn’t want to just punish us or never give us another chance. He awaits to show us mercy and grace because he is a God of justice. But, when God or people show us mercy and grace, we can’t take it for granted. And we can’t just assume that we will always get another chance because one day we won’t.

God, through Jesus, showed us grace and mercy through dying on the cross for our sins. He is always giving us another chance. And if we are His people, we want to act like God. So, we must show mercy and grace like He does and do and act how God acts.

Be thankful for the mercy and grace God or people have shown you. Remember: When we are shown grace, we can’t just think we can still do what we want and receive more grace. Take the grace and mercy and change, do better, and act better. We can’t take things for granted, because if we didn’t have those things, where would we be? Where would we be without God’s mercy and grace?

I’m thankful for his mercy and grace and for giving me another chance, and for everyone who has also given me another chance, and you should be thankful too!
