Perfect Love

1 John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us

1 John 4: 9-11
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

God is an example of PERFECT LOVE, the only way we can have perfect love is if we have Jesus, because in our flesh we do not know what perfect love is. But one characteristic I want to talk about is sacrificial love, this is an example of perfect love.

God gave up his one and only son for us. He wanted to give us another chance and he wanted us to be able to live with him one day. We have to see if we have sacrificial love. For example, Abraham was going to sacrifice his son to God because he had sacrificial love, and he wanted to be obedient to God no matter what. We have to be ready to sacrifice, because that’s part of perfect love. Sometimes God will have us to keep certain things for certain reasons, so he may not require us to give everything away sometimes ....but whatever God wants us to do or says to do ... we have to be willing to sacrifice it all for him. If we love one another, we will sacrifice for each other.
