Prayer of Obedience

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, help me to be obedient to you, your Word, and your instructions. Help me to get rid of every ungodly thing that may be blocking me from you and being obedient to you. I want to do whatever you may have for me to do. In Jesus name, Amen.

Obedience shows God how faithful we are to Him and that we love Him. When we are obedient it shows that we want to do what God wants us to do or what His Word tells us to do. If we aren't obedient to God’s Word or instructions, it shows we don’t care about Him and we don’t want to listen. We should always be obedient to God. Sometimes it may feel difficult. But, nothing God tells us to do is too difficult because he knows what we are capable of, and he will help us .... We just have to know that God wouldn’t give us anything we can’t handle. Jesus was obedient to his Father. He obeyed His Father until his very last breath. Jesus was a perfect example of obedience and we should follow his example.
