Save the Country

Pastor Amaya Stewart

Yesterday, we were in service and my Pop Pop, Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn, said something during service
that God told him, while he was in his wait. He said, “God told me to save the country.”

When he said that, it was like something hit me so hard and it made me tear up, because that is an answered prayer for me. It is so amazing to me how God can trust my Pop Pop to help save the country.
I’m going to back track a little bit. So, during service as soon as he said that I felt to talk about it on the blog, I had a plan to write the blog when I had got home, but then I fell asleep. So, this morning writing the blog didn’t even cross my mind until I got in my wait. It is important to take the word and apply and practice it daily, because it is instruction from God. While I was in my wait, I vividly saw the number 5. Pop Pop told me that the number 5 represents grace, and he said that over me because I am the fifth child out of all my siblings. Then after I saw that, I was like oh the blog! I popped up quick and I was like God thank you for reminding me.

Ok, back to the other part of this message. When Pop Pop said “God told me to save the country," it felt like answered prayers for me, because I've prayed God show this country grace. I prayed for the revival of the children. I prayed that God use me to help this country. I prayed that God help the churches to be the church he is looking for them to be so we can help save others, etc. So, when he said “God told me to save the country," it was absolutely amazing to me.

But the key question is: Will we let Chief Apostle Gunn do it alone? If we say he is our leader, and if we say we love him, and most importantly if we say we love God, we shouldn’t let our leader save the country on his own. We are supposed to back him up, and let God use us to help fulfill the mission he has spoken over our leader. I want to help fulfill the mission, and I don’t want my Pop Pop doing it alone.
We have to make sure God can trust us, and that he knows we will be doing anything and everything he instructs us to do. So, pray for the country, for our leader, and pray that God opens your eyes so you can help him save his children.

Remember that God will never give your more than you can handle, and that is saying a lot about our leader! Help save the country!
