Sincerity

1 Timothy 1:5
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Romans 12:9
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Read these two scriptures, and you’ll see that they are both talking about sincerity.

Sincerity means the quality or state of being sincere, honesty of mind, freedom from hypocrisy. These scriptures say love (have charity) out of a sincere (pure heart). We must love God sincerely and we must love each other sincerely. God is love, and he loves each one sincerely and we can’t look at someone and say, “God doesn’t love them because they are living this way.”

God doesn’t love our sin, but he still loves us. God sent his son Jesus to die for us because he loves us that much. We don’t think much about how Jesus was a young boy who was raised by his parents. We don’t think much about how God was with us in human form, and he had to grow up and face different things. But knowing what was at hand, God completed what had to be done.

Jesus had a high calling over his life since he was in the womb. And he had to grow up with that high calling over his life, and through it all, our Savior knew what had to be done. Jesus loves us so much that he didn’t tell God he didn’t want to die anymore, or he didn’t tell God, "I’m not going to redeem my people because they don’t reciprocate their love to me." And he didn’t say, "I can’t do this, it’s too hard," but instead He shed his blood and paid the ultimate price.

Love God sincerely and his people, because if God didn’t love us sincerely imagine where we would be.
