The Antichrist

1 John 2

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

We have all heard of the Antichrist. There's going to be a person who claims to be the Antichrist and they are going try to oppose or overrule the Lord and make us deny Jesus. But the Antichrist isn’t just one man. The Antichrist are people who deny the Father and the Son.

We have all been like the Antichrist.

So many times we have denied God, we don’t obey, we don’t give unto him, we go after the world, etc. You are a liar if you deny Jesus. This scripture is serious and it is a wake up call to us all. You may have watched the Left Behind movie series, and we see the rapture and the Antichrist and they try to make everyone deny Jesus or they will die, but we have been denying Jesus time and time again.

Jesus is our Father, he is the Christ, and he is the truth. If we deny the truth we aren’t of God. God’s Word is the truth and his Word doesn’t lie. And if we say the Word is a lie, we are part of the Antichrist and not God’s children. We have to check ourselves and make sure that we know who God truly is and ensure that we don’t deny him though what we say or our actions. If God tells you to do something and you don’t do it that’s denying God. When you deny God, you aren’t his children because his children obey and follow his Word. I say I am a child of God so I have to obey and follow his Word and know that it is the truth! His Word is the truth whether it’s through the Bible or through the pulpit or it could be through someone else’s mouth. Don’t deny Jesus and don’t deny his Word. It’s the TRUTH, and God wants us to live in the truth!
