The Children of Israel

In Exodus Chapters 15-17, the children of Israel and Moses were going through the wilderness.
God had just parted the Red Sea so they could get away from Pharaoh and his Egyptian army. After this great miracle, don’t you think they would’ve been appreciative to God?
Once they were in the wilderness, they were getting hungry and thirsty. One river they couldn’t drink because the water was bitter, but God made the waters sweet. They were hungry, and God provided them with plenty of bread. They kept complaining about how hungry and thirsty they were. God was still providing for them, but they weren’t showing him that they were thankful.
The people murmured, “Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle thirst?” Yet, God still provided for them.
God has been so good to us, but we still find ways to complain. Why can’t we be thankful and grateful for what God has done for us. God blessed us with some money and yet we still complain about how we need more money. God is so good he’ll keep meeting our needs and sometimes our wants, if it's his will.
He is a God of love. He is love. Love keeps doing for people even when people may not be thankful. We need to love like God. Love is also being thankful for whatever it may be. If we don’t love God, how can we be thankful for the things he does for us?
We have to be thankful and have love in our hearts. True love comes from God, and when we have love -- we get other characteristics that come with that.
Stop complaining about what you may not have. Give God thanks in what you do have!
