The Mustard Seed

Matthew 17:20 - And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
What or who have you been putting your faith in? In this scripture, Jesus said if we have faith as a grain of mustard see the mountain will move. A mustard seed is about 1 or 2 millimeters. That is very tiny. This is powerful because it shows faith will take you a long way. He didn’t say we had to have faith as big as a bus because God knows that would be difficult for some, but he said a mustard seed.
Imagine if the faith that you put in the chair to hold you up when you sit down was put into Jesus? We believe a chair that can break will hold us up, but Jesus won't let us fall. Jesus has been talking about healing, miracles, and answering prayers lately, but if we aren’t using and exercising our faith nothing will be done for us.
We can’t have weak faith to where we barely believe in God for anything. We have to exercise our faith and build the biceps, triceps, the abs, etc. Don’t have weak unused faith. This is encouragement because a little faith goes a long way, but why stop at a little faith? Have faith in God in anything let your faith grow. If you keep your faith in a box, nothing will be moved on your behalf because you are not using the tools God has given you.
We have faith in our house that it will stand and protect us, but we can’t have that much faith in God? We have faith that our heart is going to beat so we don’t even question it, but we can’t have that much faith in God? We have faith that this paycheck is going to help in a time of need, but we can’t have that much faith in God? But to get to that place we have to remember, “faith comes by the hearing of the Word.”
