Psalm 23
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Psalm 23 is showing what a perfect Father God is. The Lord restores, leads, protects, gives mercy and grace, etc. In Psalm 23 , God is showing what a perfect shepherd looks like. He is always there to provide, protect, help, provide for, and guide his sheep. God makes sure to be the best Shepherd, Father, Savior, etc., He can be to every one of his sheep, and he is always looking for more to add.

God will recover us when we have gone astray. He will make sure our enemies will not defeat us. He shows us mercy and grace because he knows we may run away or make mistakes. He gives us peace and he restore us. God loves us so much, but how do we show our love to him?

Love has to be reciprocated, it can't be shown or given by just one person in the relationship. God has been doing everything he can for his sheep since the beginning of time. But what has his sheep done for Him? How do you show your Father that you are thankful?

Don’t miss out on being part of God’s herd. God has his arms open, but are you missing your opportunity? Choose to rest in the arms of the perfect Father. God has done so much for us, and we have to show him that he didn’t waste his time on us.
