True Riches

Pastor Amaya Stewart

“And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When I read this verse, I was astonished. It's hard to imagine a camel fitting through the tiny eye of a needle, especially when sometimes it’s hard for a thin string to fit through it.

We cannot take anything with us when we die. Our flesh goes to the dirt and our soul goes to Heaven or hell. I don’t want to live for anything else but God.

A rich man is focused on what he has and he begins to idolize money and things as more valuable and more important than anything else. But these things are not what is most important.

God blesses us to be able to even have access money, but we trust in it more than him.

In the Bible it says, the things that are seen are temporary. Everything our eyes can see is temporary.
BUT ... Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, that which eternal, then everything will be added unto you.

Seek God first. Don’t put anything before God. God gives and takes away and he is a jealous God so whatever is before him it will be dealt with.

I pray we don’t let the things of this world stop us from living a life for God. We have access to everything we need and more through God, and God will provide, but we have to let go of whatever we are trusting more in than God.
