What Can Jesus Say About You

Pastor Amaya Stewart

John 10:27-29 says: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow. And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”

Jesus is a good shepherd. He looks after and takes care of every one of his sheep. Does Jesus know you? Does he know you as his sheep? I know Jesus knows everyone because he made us but, if Jesus looked over your life span, will he say that’s my son or daughter? Yes, I know we are Jesus' children, but just imagine if Jesus was an everyday person who knew nothing about us and the only way he would be able to get to know us is a book written about our life.

Can he say, I know you? Can he say, they hear my voice and choose to follow me? These are questions we have to ask ourselves. If you look in John 10:28-29, Jesus said no one shall ever pluck his sheep out of his hand. This means no one can take us away from God unless we make the decision to let them or we stray away by choice. I want to be Jesus' sheep. I want to follow him, listen to him, and I want him to know me. Our fruit speaks very boldly. What does your life fruit say? How does your story read to God? Does God know he can depend on you to do his work and whatever His will may be?
