What Does Your Love Meter Say?

What is the status of your love meter?

Do any of you remember the love match game, where you put your name and, for example, you put your crush's name in it? Then they give you a percentage and that percentage is your love compatibility and how successful your relationship will be.

I say that to ask: Where would our percentage be with God? I’m not talking about typing God's actual name in the game, but spiritually. God loves us a lot, he died for us, and he is love. But are we willing to sacrifice anything for God?

Do we make sure we spend time with Him every day? If we were in a relationship, we would want the other person to do some of those things for us too.

Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” We can show Jesus how much we love him each day. Whether it's helping someone else, spreading his word, taking time to pray to him, or blessing someone.

There are different ways we can show our love for him because love sacrifices, love helps people, love is God. God sees how much we love him, and I want him to see that I love him. But you might not care if God knows that you love him because you don’t care about him.

We want people to care about us. So, it’s the same thing with God. 1 John 4:16: “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
