What is Jesus trying to say to you today?

Some of our ears are clogged up and some of our ears are squeaky clean. We need to clean our spiritual ears!

God could be wanting to say something to us and some of us are in the right place to hear it, and some of us are not. Every day you might not hear from God but the closer you get to him, the more you’ll hear from him. We want God to hear our prayers, but we don’t want to hear what he has to say to us. Whether it's a correction, teaching, encouragement, a word concerning someone else, or just God simply wanting to have a conversation with us, God wants to have a relationship with us, but how can we have a relationship with him if we don’t want to listen.

We fill our ears with drama, gossip, secular music, the wrong things, etc. We must be balanced and keep ourselves from letting our ears be filled with the wrong things or things God is not calling for at that time.

For example, you could be watching a TV show, and it's time for prayer. You wait to pray after the episode is over, and you could have possibly missed what God wanted to say to you. Nothing is wrong with watching appropriate TV in moderation, but don’t let it take over you, to where you miss your time with God.

1 Chronicles 16:11, “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.”
