Where is Your Thank You

When was the last time you told God thank you?

There's this song that keeps playing in my head and it asks: When was the last time?
When was the last time you told God thank you?

When was the last time we stopped what we were doing to give God thanks? When was the last time we showed God that we were thankful?

There's so many questions we can ask ourselves and we can see are we really thankful for everything God has done for us. Even in the little things we should say thank you. God deserves all of our thanks because he paid the ultimate price for us! He sent Jesus and he died so we can have another chance, and if we're saved we have our salvation to be thankful for.

There's always something to give God thanks and praise for. We can show him thank you by our actions. Giving is telling God thank you. But are we telling God we're not thankful?

If you choose to live your way, you're telling God I don’t appreciate what you did for me. In the slightest moment, where we choose to do whatever we want instead of what God told us to do, we're showing him we're not thankful. God deserves all of the praises and thanks! We need to check our thankful meter. If we aren’t thankful to others, then how are we thankful to God?

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 12:28-29
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.

If we are truly saved and living for God, it shouldn’t be hard for us to be thankful. We have to check ourselves and see why we are not being thankful enough. Why is it so hard for us to give God thanks.

God knows the ones who are truly thankful! Are you one?
