The Man At The Pool...
Sometimes words cannot express the pain you feel. But Jesus has all that you need. He may not come when you want him, but he's right on time. Many people say that, but you've got to know it. It's more than just a season...you need a Savior. I hope you're ready...let's get started! Message Original Date: November 10, 2016 Messenger: Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn Scripture References: John 5 God is real and he is constant. Sometimes the Word of God has to give us a good talking to. If you are struggling with anything, the key is to keep obeying the Word that you know. You've got to know God is speaking to you today in his Word. Let's take a look at John 5.
How did the man on the porches feel sitting there 38 years? Think about it. As he sat, over and over again, it was drawing near to the time when he could possibly be healed by the troubling of the water. Yet, he had nobody that was close enough to stay with him when the angel would come down. It seems he had nobody to help him, he had no friends. So, here he is surrounded by a multitude of withered people, lame people, and blind people, and he had been there 38 years. He saw the water troubled. He saw people come out healed. Sometimes in the midst of him being able to make it to the pool, somebody else got in, and then the angel was gone. We experienced places in our lives when we thought we were next in line and our blessing seemed to pass us by. I encourage you to look again. And I'm looking at God right now and saying: "you're timeless." God doesn't move in our time. It seemed like the man didn't get hardened or get bitter. And so, when Jesus came, there was other folks on the porch, but he walked past them and walked up to him. At this point he might have been closest to the water. What is it that called attention to this man? He was lying there in the same shape he had been in for 38 years. What is it that is calling attention to you? There's a cry coming up from inside you saying "See Me Jesus, See Me!" On the inside, the man had determined: "One Day." One day it's going to be my time. Something in him or about him brought Jesus to him. Maybe Jesus came to take his healing out of the angel's hand, so that he could do it for him. Maybe it was to let him know that he needed more than a season...he needed a Savior. That's the mix up around the world today. We are waiting on our season and not a Savior. But, it's not about my season it's about my Savior! When you are waiting on a season it will pass you by, but not the Savior. Because in the Savior is the season. Well, that's all for now.
