Water Your Way Home

Scripture References: Genesis 24:12-14

How are you going to know what steps to take? How will you know where you need to go? Stop walking through you're saved life blindfolded.

Listen Saints: You won't know what to do if you don't pray. Let God show you and tell you what he wants you to do. But he can't, if you don't pray.

Haven't you noticed everything you are doing is producing the same results. Then again, how can you notice it when you are too busy going nowhere fast?

Let's go further.

Abraham came to his servant with a very important assignment. But he didn't just trust anybody with this mission. Eliezer was ordained to find his son Isaac's wife. He made an oath with Abraham and set out to do whatever it took to complete what his master asked.

But here is the key: he prayed. Genesis 24:12-14 says:

12 And he said O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

As soon as he prayed this prayer, Rebekah came out. Not only did she give him water to drink but his camels also. Whose prayer is God trying to use you to answer?

We've got it confused. We think it's about what we can get or take. But, we better change our mindsets. We miss out on the blessing because we always have our hand out. But the blessing is tied to what you are willing to give.

Rebekah wasn't thinking of herself. She was watering her way to a Godly husband, family, and the blessing of Jehovah on her life. Think about all the women that came to draw water and what they missed out on because they were not sensitive enough to the spirit of God.

Have you lost your sensitivity? If you have, God is trying to show you how to get it back.
