(Rewind) Stay Faithful....
We hope your 2019 is like no other year you have seen before. In God it can be!
Below is a message originally posted by Apostle Terah Josey on our first "Watch Letter" blog site in December 2014. In keeping with the Word we received from God this week, through Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn from Luke 22: 31-71, this message is perfect timing. Peter's faith failed in this chapter although he promised to stay with Jesus forever. We learn in this lesson to be ready. Stay in place. Don't fear. Don't be moved. Be watchful. Be humble. Don't let your faith fail!!!
Stay Faithful....
Hello, Everyone!! Great is the Lord and he is greatly to be praised!! I am honored to share the Word with you today. Before we get started let's look at something. In the church today, we have many callings and offices - but there are few people who are willing to serve. Everybody wants to prophesy or interpret dreams, but nobody wants to clean the bathrooms, take out the trash, buy water, or sweep the floor. What are you willing to do?? Your answers will determine what you make on the test. I hope you are ready... let's get started!! Message Original Date: December 11, 2014 Messenger: Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn Scripture References: John 15:8, Revelation 3:1-3 In prayer, I told my father: "Lord, I'm going to trust you, love you, and live for you." No matter how little or small it is, whatever God will have you to do ... Stay Faithful. Whatever it is that God has given you or put you in charge of ... Stay Faithful. Be faithful over the little and he will make you ruler over much. You need to fully understand what God is calling for. If God said go from your kindred (family) or your loved ones and abide in this place (the place he has called you to)...abide in the calling where God has called you. It will be your biggest regret if God called you to something and he can't trust you to be faithful to do it. Let's take it a step further. What if The Body Of Christ (meaning this ministry) is found no where in Heaven?? That means my living has been in vain. Go to Revelation 3:1-3. Here is a church that looked like everything was good on the outside, but they were dead on the inside. The church looked festive, vibrant, the spirit was high, and they probably had a great choir. But, John sent them a letter. To us, the Spirit of God seems to be interrupting everything when things seem to be going so well...so it seems. But what about when they are not....you have to recognize there was an inside story that was being told. What happened? As a body, they stopped being faithful and everything became a tradition. Going through the motions, but dead on the inside. Without getting it right in your heart, there is no peace. Jesus built the church but they tore it down. The Word came, John wrote the letter, and now you can't find the church whose name was once alive. Many of us have become this very church. We go to church on Sunday, attend Bible study, sing in the choir, jump and shout ... but if God peeled back the inside they would change our name to "The Church of the Living Dead." Leaders, let me tell you what the Lord said is killing our churches ... a spirit of indifference. Indifference is a lack of concern, feeling or acting like something lacks importance, lack of sympathy, apathy and coldness. We have become cold to the life of God. So, instead of following the Spirit of God, we stay in tradition. Instead of caring about the ministry and God's people we only care about ourselves. We've stopped being faithful over the things God called us to do. But in verses 2 and 3 is our remedy: "Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." Be watchful and be faithful with what you have in your hand. Strengthen the truth that you have today. The truth that you are holding in your heart and hand today.Stay true to the Word of God regardless. Separate from your dead works. This is a searching thing. The Holy Spirit is asking: Will there be one? Does anyone want to be raised from the dead? Well, that's all for now. I love you and I'm praying for you.
