Are You Looking for Love in All the Right Places? The Watch Letter
Matthew 7 tells us: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
We often can look at this scripture from the viewpoint of pursuing things we need or want from God. But isn't God more than meat, more than raiment, more than silver? Isn't he something special to behold and worthy of our love just for who he is?
Let's look at it from a Heaven point of view:
"Ask for Jesus and he shall be given to you. Seek Jesus and you shall find him. Knock at Jesus' door and it shall be opened to you."
"Ask for the love of God and it shall be given to you. Seek the love of God and ye shall find it. Knock at the door of Godly love and it shall be opened unto you."
This perspective came to mind after two powerful words from God came forth from our Pastor Chief Apostle Gunn and his beautiful companion Apostle Felicia Gunn.
This past week, Chief Apostle Gunn reminded us through messages:
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God!
Don't go after things or the fashion of this world!
Lay not up for yourself treasures on Earth!
Set your affections on the things (of God) above!
Go ye out to meet Him!
Prize and value God!
On Sunday, Apostle Felicia taught:
Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul!
Make up your mind to fall in love with Jesus!
When you're in love with Jesus, you seek Him!
When you're in love with Jesus, you want to know where he is!
When you're in love with Jesus, you want to do things his way!
When you're in love with Jesus, you will desire to have his character!
God is calling us through these messages to seek him out like we sought out our first love. To pursue him like a pearl or diamond we are searching for in the sand. To desire him above all else. To be willing to push through and let go of anything in order to stay close to him. To never stop watching for his return because as he keeps reminding our leader and the saints: HE IS SOON TO COME!
It reminds me of this song:
Lord if I
Find favor in Your sight
Lord, please
Hear my heart's cry
I'm desperately waiting
To be where You are
I'll cross the hottest desert
I'll travel near or far
For Your glory
I will do anything
Just to see You
To behold You as my King
In the Song of Solomon 8:78 it says: Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

Apostle Kanya, you asked a very important question & we all should take the time to see if where we are looking for love leads us to the feet of the Lord or astray...It's time to get things right in our love life!!!!
