Where's Your Integrity? We Can't Make It In Without It.
Today, Youth Pastor Amaya released a blog based on a recent message by Chief Apostle H.C. Gunn, "The Door is Closing." She writes, "Don’t try to make it when the door is 5 centimeters from being shut." Read her whole message here.
Her warning is correct! We can't try to make it in the door at the last minute. We can't fool God. We can't live how we want, then think we can trick Him into letting us in.
It all boils down to our integrity. Chief Apostle taught from 2 Chronicles on Sunday. He told us to read 2 Chronicles Chapters 10-15, and up. And when you read how each time the kings tried to use God only for strength and help or only do some of what he said to be blessed, you see that they lived and died without integrity. Then, they passed that spirit on to the generations that came after them.
Are we teaching our children and those that come after us to live without integrity? Do we think God is dumb? That he can't see our intent?
2 Chronicles 12:1, "And it came to pass, when Rehoboam had established the kingdom and had strengthened himself, he forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him."
Don't be like Rehoboam. He had no integrity and no respect. He was a user and an abuser toward God and the people of God. He wanted what God could do to get him to his goal, but didn't want who God was or what God required.
Below are some synonyms for the word integrity. If we lack any of these attributes then we must humble ourselves and repent. Because these are the very things that keep us from getting through that door that Chief Apostle Gunn and Pastor Amaya are talking about, the door to God's eternal Kingdom.
